A Life Well Lived

Obituary

Celebrating The Life Of Hypolite Cunin Hypolite Cunin was a familiar face, a well-known name & a memorable presence to many whose paths crossed his. Born on July 31, 1952, Hypolite lived a life shaped by independence, community & the simple pleasures that brought him comfort. A self-employed man, Hypolite was especially well known within the Carenage community, where he owned the popular bar on Haig Street. More than simply a place of business, the bar made him a recognizable part of the neighbourhood and brought him into contact with countless people over the years. His presence became woven into the everyday life and memories of those who knew him in Carenage. Away from work, Hypolite appreciated quieter moments and enjoyed spending his time watching television and listening to music. He was married to Bernadette Cunin and carried with him the many experiences, relationships & memories gathered throughout his 74 years of life. Hypolite departed this life on August 14, 2026. As family, friends & members of the community reflect on his journey, he will be remembered not only for the business he built, but for the familiar presence he became to so many. Though his earthly chapter has come to a close, the stories, laughter & memories connected to Hypolite Cunin will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May His Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.
