Born on August 14th, 1932, Upton carried the spirit of the islands wherever life took him, remaining deeply connected to its people, culture & music. A man of many gifts, Upton was a talented musician, gifted singer & passionate lover of calypso. Music lived within him, and his voice had a way of filling a room with joy. He was also an accomplished martial artist, earning a Black Belt & achieving the remarkable rank of 8th Degree; a reflection of his discipline, determination & strength of character. Yet, beyond his accomplishments, Upton will be remembered most for the person he was. He was more than a beloved cousin; he became a father figure, mentor, loyal friend & source of encouragement to those fortunate enough to know him. His kindness, wisdom, humour & larger-than-life personality made people feel welcomed, valued & loved. In his later years, Upton's faith became especially meaningful to him as he found a cherished relationship with Jesus Christ. On September 7th, 2026, after 94 years of life, his earthly journey came to an end, leaving behind memories that will continue to speak long after his passing.
